What the rep costs you

Your rep is your employee, on your payroll. Set the base salary and the calculator shows the whole picture, not just our fee.

$40K$60K$80K

Commission on closed business is on top of the base, and it’s the good kind of cost. We write the comp plan with you before we recruit. Typical first-year OTE for a rep we place is $65–85K.

The alternative

Cheaper than the sales manager you’d hire instead.

In-house sales manager

  • $110K–$160K a year all-in, before their first hire
  • Still needs recruiters at $10K–$20K per placement
  • One bad hire costs $150K+ and a lost year
  • Single point of failure: they leave, you restart

Icebreaker

  • Capped at $84K a year for the whole team
  • Recruiting included with every placement
  • Underperforming rep? We replace them
  • A system, not a person. Nothing walks out the door

And when you’re ready for full-time, in-house sales leadership, we recruit that person for you, hand over the playbook, and transition out. Growing past us is the plan, not a breakup.

FAQ

Common questions.

What’s included in the $3,500 recruiting fee?
Everything up to the day your rep starts: the job description, sourcing, screening, scorecard interviews, reference checks and the offer. There are no additional charges during recruiting, however long it takes.
When does monthly billing start?
The day your rep starts working. If recruiting takes six weeks, you pay nothing monthly for six weeks.
What happens if a placed rep doesn’t work out?
If a rep doesn’t meet expectations in the first 90 days, we work the problem with you first. If it’s the wrong person, we replace them at no additional recruiting fee.
Do you pay the rep’s salary?
No. The rep is your employee and you pay their salary and commission directly. Our fee covers recruiting, the system, and day-to-day management. We design the comp plan with you so both sides make sense.
Can I hire more than one rep?
That’s the model. First rep $3,500/mo, each additional rep $1,500/mo, total capped at $7,000/mo no matter how large the team gets. Each placement carries the one-time $3,500 recruiting fee.
How long does recruiting take?
Most placements land in four to six weeks. Some markets take longer; you’re only ever charged the one recruiting fee regardless of timeline.
What happens when we’re ready for an in-house sales manager?
We help you graduate. When the team justifies full-time leadership, we recruit your sales manager for a standard placement fee, transition management over 60 days, and stay available for advisory if you want it.
